The moment had Hallmark written all over it. With a delicious cup of coffee in hand, I was admiring the lovely fall window display in a nearby small town. It was an easygoing Saturday morning moment until I saw the cute chalkboard sign.
Only 75 days until Christmas.
Moment ruined. It's not that I don't adore Christmas. I do. But fall feels exactly when you want to savor the moment all while the holidays press you to get going. In fact, you're already behind on your Christmas cards and it's not even Halloween yet.
Is it just me or am I the only one that wants to enjoy the season I'm in? I see you fall and I'm going to enjoy you despite the fact the Peppermint Mocha creamer is already edging out the Pumpkin Spice.
If this is you too, take heart. Here are a few of my favorite posts to remind you that it's okay to take the season slow. That's right, look away from the reminders of how many shopping days. Treasure the fall beauty, the crisp weather, how the light is different. Gaze instead at the season of turning inward, tending to home and hearth as the moment invites.
